The time to host the 2022 World Cup qualifiers

AFC has agreed about the time to hold the matches in the second qualifying round of the 2022 World Cup.

Due to the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic globally, Asian football leagues had to postpone to 2021. The Asian match schedule will take place with dense density.

Through an online meeting, they discussed the options for organizing tournaments taking place in 2021. The AFC Competition Board has agreed on a plan to organize the tournaments.

However, the timing of the matches depends on actual conditions. In the event that two Football Confederation members negotiate by themselves, the time of the match will also be accepted by the AFC, after the proposal is approved by FIFA.
